One popular hobby board forum is organized by U.S. city, and each city has sub-forums, one of which is dedicated exclusively to reports on escorts in the area. In the escort reports sub-forum in U.S. cities, users posted more than 14,000 comments in the first six months of 2019, where they detailed and reviewed sexual experiences with specific workers in their area, inquired about workers whose profiles they had found online and more. NBC analyzed a random sample of 300 of these comments across 17 U.S. cities and urban areas* and categorized posts based on their content:
