Unaccompanied children are immigrating to the US in record numbers. The number of children immigrants from Mexico has held steady in recent years. The latest spike is largely due to children originating from Guatamela, Honduras and El Salvador.
These numbers are for fiscal years 2009 through 2014. Does not include estimates of children who cross the border undetected.
